Kamakura

A city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) south-west of Tokyo. Although Kamakura proper is today rather small, it is often described in history books as a former de facto capital of Japan as the seat of the Shogunate and of the Regency during the Kamakura Period. Omote Sando A Zelkova tree-lined avenue located in Shibuya-ku and Minato-ku, Tokyo stretching from the entrance to the Meiji Shrine, to Aoyama-dori. It was originally created in the Taisho era as the frontal (表 Omote) approach (参道 Sando) to the Shrine. Today Omote Sando is known as one of the foremost “architectural showcase” streets in the world, featuring a multitude of fashion flagship stores. Mt.Fuji

The highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft). An active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707–08, it lies about 100 kilometres (60 mi) south-west of Tokyo. It straddles the boundary of Shizuoka and Yamanashi Prefectures. Also Mt. Fuji was stated the number one dream to have in the new year. This belief has been in place since the early Edo period.
