JATA Tourism EXPO Japan 2015 (Airports & Airlines Section)

This expo is one of the largest travel events in the world, which presents Japan as a tourism nation to the world, further developing outbound, inbound and domestic travel. It was held on September 26 and 27 at Tokyo Big Sight.

Narita Airport

The predominant international airport, handling around 50% of Japan’s international passenger traffic and 60% of its international air cargo traffic. As of 2013, Narita was the second-busiest passenger airport in Japan (after Haneda Airport in Tokyo), and was the tenth-busiest air freight hub in the world.

Haneda Airport

Haneda was the second busiest airport in Asia and the fourth busiest in the world in 2014, after Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport (Asia’s busiest) and London Heathrow Airport. With Haneda and Narita combined Tokyo has the third busiest city airport system in the world, after London and New York City.
